About Debbie Arnold

Embedded in the fabric of our community, there is no question that Debbie Arnold knows what we need from San Luis Obispo County government.

Debbie has more than 17 years of business experience as owner and operator of Small Wonders Preschool in Atascadero.  This business was founded after she identified a need for quality preschools in our area.

For several years Debbie has worked as an advocate for ranchers, small businesses, and families in her role as a San Luis Obispo Field Representative for the State Senate.  She credits this time with learning consensus building and how to educate voters on important issues. She also gained critical experience working with several government agencies on behalf of constituents.

She also spent time volunteering for youth sports leagues including basketball, baseball, soccer, horse vaulting, 4-H and rodeo. She continues to serve with several booster groups and scholarship efforts.

Debbie is involved with SLO County Farm Bureau Women, SLO County Cattlewomen, California Women in Agriculture, and the Agricultural Task Force Board. She currently represents the Pozo area on the Santa Margarita Area Advisory Committee.

A native Californian, Debbie Arnold has called the Central Coast home since she moved to attend Cal Poly in 1973. Married to husband Steve since 1975, the couple has two children and three grandchildren. The Arnolds own a family ranching and farming business where they produce beef cattle, hay and wine grapes.
